Cheri Atkinson is now $10,000 richer thanks to the Together, We Play contest put on by Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation. On October 23rd, her name was drawn in front of a crowd of people attending the 2nd Annual Busting Out event at Amy's Restaurant.

"We are pleased to present the $10,000 cash to Cheri Atkinson, and we are grateful for the support of all our sponsors," said Susan McLean, CEO of the SMGH Foundation.

The Together, We Play contest has been coined a 'win-win-win': people  play for free, entering for the chance to win prizes, businesses receive recognition and benefits from sponsoring the game-board, and proceeds help to pay for hospital equipment. 

In the first four years the contest has raised over $150,000 to help pay for new hospital equipment. The funds generated through the 2013 contest will support expanding breast cancer diagnosis and treatment programs available at SMGH.
